Hi, Jane: No mention of the Eli Whitney relationship in the papers on Capt. Mary B. Greene. I looked and looked (even held up to a bright light) but saw no mention. The family connection sounds fascinating and, perhaps, I can 'dig' here in Cincinnati for a lead. Yeah, you were quite the thing 'spiriting' me aboard the DQ back then. Funny, I never thought about that and the connection with the towboat bashing in the bar on the starboard side. Do you think somebody knew we were there?
