The Colonel had lots of "top secret" missions in both Ohio and Louisiana if I recall correctly.
I never heard how that came to pass in the end.
Back to the subject at hand...I'd love to see the Goldenrod back in St. Louis where she belongs (in my mind, that is). Better yet...wouldn't it be fun to see her operational again...with a towboat, calliope and such? I know that is just a dream. But, I bet the novelty of it all would spell short-term success for the idea of a showboat.
