I found out after I grew up that Capt. Fred Way and I had a similar sense of humor. I was visiting him when he moved to Marietta and we laughed ourselves silly over old boat days. I asked him how a certainEngineer lost his finger. Capt Way said"Well, ya know..he was accident prone..and one day he was showing a young would-be Engineer the ropes. He pointed to a piece of lethalmachinery and said whatever you do, don't putyour finger in it like THIS and he put his finger in it like THAT and cut his finger off!". We both cried. =Jane
