Greetings to all:
Lest we forget, it was fifty-six years ago this past Tuesday, December 17th that Capt. Tom Greene and family received formal notification from the UNITED STATES MARITIME COMMISSION that his bid for "The vessel DELTA QUEEN (YFB 56) had been accepted." His bid of $46,250.00 had been the only one received. Thus began the greatest adventure of his life and that of boon companion/advisor Capt. Fred Way, Jr.

"For better it is to dare mighty things
To Win glorious triumphs, even though checkered with
failure
Than to take rank with those of poor spirits
Who neither enjoy much nor suffer much
Because they live in the gray twilight
That knows not victory nor defeat."
*Teddy Roosevelt*

Christmas cheer & greetings to you ALL.
