Gee, thanks for the kind words! I DO enjoy writing, but I,m sort of a humorist, particularly when it comes to the river. I can't take anything too seriously, not even my own health. I DO have one thing published. In Nikki Giovanni's book Grand Mothers, she invited her friends to write about their grandmas, so mine is entitled CAPT. MARY B. GREENE...just a brief essay. But there are other big time writers in that book, like Gloria Naylor, who wrote Women of Brewster Street and others. Nikki Giovanni is a prominent black poet. People have either heard of her of they haven,t. She's a friend of mine.Anyway the whole steamboat experience is a scream to me. Pat Traynor will tell you that my table mates on my recent DQ trip were subjected to alota droll storiesof mine, right Pat and Jean and Henry and Bill and Lorna?I do think about writing a book, but probably only ten people would buy it.
