Subject: Re: Elaine Santangelo's 'sailor' career/DQ Etc..

Greetings again:
Elaine, I forgot to ask you what you did as a 'sailor?' Was it in the cruise ship arena? There's a Santangelo family here in Cincinnati I know well. Any relationship? Phyllis Dale, are you there? I heard you were on a big trip or something. Was it to Africa? Thanks to Jane Greene for 'telling it like it is.' Many of us can remember those questionable years 1957/'58. There were many 'little people' with limited or no cash $$ who had the DELTA QUEEN at heart but couldn't do much at the time. The Greenes have always been 'grand originals' hereabouts and their good works as stewards of the DQ have not been forgotten; not to mention civic, professional, educational and church involvements. I often wear my HISTORIC GREENE LINE STEAMERS T-shirt designed by Tom Greene, Jr., on trips or in Michigan during the summer at the lake cottage. People (usually in their 70s/80s) stop and ask where I got it or say, "Hey, years ago we went on the GORDON C. GREENE and the DELTA QUEEN. We took the train to Cincinnati on a CARTAN trip. There was an older lady on the GORDON who must have been a Greene (Capt. Mary B. Greene). Are they still around and what's become of Mrs. Letha C. Greene?" That's the truth gang. Time to decorate another Christmas tree here at the Flick abode.
Regards,
R. Dale Flick
PS> Tom Greene, do you still have any of those dandy shirts in stock?
