Greetings:
Thanks to Judy, Keith, Ted etc., for bringing the news about the GOLDENROD. It's been a number of years since I've seen her and couldn't believe she's been around that long. I'm dumb as a brick about showboats but still find them fascinating. The MAJESTIC here is, I think, still under the directorship of the University of Cincinnati. She got a new steel hull years ago and it was some undertaking watching that fragile wood superstructure being lifted over. I'm still waiting for a reader/poster on steamboats.org to remember the DQ's 'official theme song.' Hope all are well. I 'laid off' posting as I thought I was rambling too much and hogging vital board space. Well, E=Mails and a phone call came: "Dale, are you there...are you alive...did you fall in a goola hole?" You all are great. Somebody we all know is having a birthday this coming week?
Regards,
Dale Flick
PS> Thanks Judy for helping me on the 'posting' technology.
