I partially agree with your Greene Line's money history; nevertheless, when people assume I'm rich, it's much easier to say, "Nope, the depression wiped us out", rather than to say that after Capt. Tom died, it was all "down hill". Miss Letha never pretended to be a spitfire business woman, but at least she didn't take up the offers by bums who for ten dollars and a bottle of gin woulda burned the Delta Queen down , thus making her rich. THink of all the people today who never woulda known the joy of Delta Queen trips/employment, if Miss Letha hadn't at least TRIED to keep her husband's dream alive?
