The Queen of Queens is here, but ever so briefly. Amid the lightning she was all stop at 3:12, but she's leaving about 6:30, so I had to come home to get the cookies. No sleep tonight, but anything for a steamboat. Incidentally, I'll be joining Franz, Carmen and Leonie Saturday on the DQ for the ST.L-Nashville cruise. It will be my first official DQ trip since 1983, and my 40th overall. Am I excited? Nahhhhhhh! And of course, tomorrow the MQ is here, presumably for the entire morning. The DQ is full to the gills, with some crew members doubling up to free up pax space. And more good financial news: there was an ad in the New Orleans Sunday paper from the Bob Wall Travel Agency in NOLA, stating that the DQ Co. was back operating in good hands and financially sound. He is probably the biggest cruise agency in NOLA, and spoke out during the bankruptcy that it would take a lot to get him to book passengers again on the DQ boats. Way to go, Delaware North! Time to slosh through the rain and deliver the cookies. Its now 4 AM. Life is tough along the river!!!!!!!
