So the homeland security kept me off of Arsenal Island
and L&D 15,so I took a ride on our swing span of the
Government Bridge as her Majesty entered the auxiliary
lock. A great view! And since it was dark, Jazzou's
concert was aglow. He played even though there weren't
any people at the lock,just us on the bridge. She looks
better than ever(disregarding the hull) and there were
people driving up and down the lock road at 16 even
though we were kept out of the lock area by 3 wires and
a sign "Authorized personnel only". Her admirers may
not be able to be right next to her, but they are
there! Capt. Gabe, Pilots Hendrix and Williams. No
rest for the wicked, or for steamboat fans, as the MQ
comes again tomorrow. More cookies to bake. What a
life!!!!!!!
