Pete,
I thought no one would ever ask. Actually it was a very complicated affair, and has the makings of a most interesting tale. I worked on the GV2, today, and was able to find time to cobble together nearly 500 words and the DELTA QUEEN hasn't even left Cincinnati, yet.

There's no sandbar involved, just hard Indiana riverbank clay, and maybe one even harder head that got us into the mess to start with. There's the story of a dedicated crew who did in three days what a shipyard wouldn't attempt in three weeks. There's humor, and we all shed a few tears when it was over. I'll keep pumping out the paragraphs, and somewhere I have the statements from some of us who were involved. It's a classic story that deserves a telling.
