Judi: Your family's enthusiasm for river history and the upcoming opening of the new museum at Vevay is heartwarming to say the least! They certainly have a lot of wonderful artifacts such as the pilotwheel from the steam ferry ROBERT GRAHAM, a fine collection of boat models built by a gentleman who once was an actor on BRYANT'S SHOWBOAT, a large decorative finial from the pilothouse of the first ISLAND QUEEN, towboat relics and all sorts of other steamboaty treasures too numerous to mention. With devoted and enthusiastic river people like Barbara Huffman, Dan Back and others working on this project, the museum can't help but be an outstanding contribution to the preservation of river history. Like you, I can hardly wait to see it!
