The blasting was done by a company back in the Industrial Canal. Steve Nicoulin said they weren't getting anywhere with the traditional sandblasting, but the water took it right off. They also have a new paint, which is non-skid but then a shiny topcoat is applied which livens it up but doesn't lose the non-skid. The deck crew did the painting and other work once the pro blasters were done. Its hard to believe the NATCHEZ is 29, and the CREOLE QUEEN is 20.
