As was previously mentioned, the Natchez shore stop can be made by stopping across the river in Vidalia, La. I'm sure the casino in Natchez would do all it could to block the Queens from landing there, even if the machines were off. Word I had last summer(when we were dealing with 'unfounded rumors') was that they would get Mississippi license too. That way they could land in Tunica, and have a Memphis/NO trip. Notice they just happen to be docking in Tunica this year, practice maybe? I'm wondering about the possibility of landing in a non-licensed state with the machines off. I suspect that wouldn't be allowed, hence the AQ and/or MQ would be restricted to LA and/or Miss. There is strong opposition to this bill from the current casino operators, who have contributed mightily to the legislators' pockets. DN is going to have to cough up a lot to sway some votes. My focus group of one which has watched the riverboat gambling industry become plain old casinos predicts that if DN gets turned down, they'll pull at least one boat and lay it up claiming they can't fill them all. That will show us! Casinos don't care about anything but themselves, and the mere threat of closing or moving usually scares the concerned governing body into bowing to their demands. ..........
