Subject: River Mansion on the Market

"Rock Hill", the historic mansion here in Louisville that was the home of Capt. C.W. Stoll from 1952 until his death in 2001, is now on the real estate market. Built in 1832 by a New Orleans cotton planter, the home overlooks the Ohio River and was the site of many a festive gathering by river people over the years -- especially the annual parties after the steamboat race. The real estate includes not only the mansion, but a school house cottage and a small slave house that was later restored into a guest house. Pictures and information are available on the website of Julie Pogue Properties.
