I remember seeing that acorn on the bell of the DQ. It is the perfect spot for an acorn and it always seems a little naked when I look at the bell today. If I had any woodworking skills or tools I would like to donate an acorn for that purpose if the company would install it. Unfortunately, I have neither. I also miss the red 5 pointed stars on the hubs of the paddlewheel that Doc probably painted. The 5 pointed star is one of those steamboat good lick symbols. I stated this once before when we discussed this issue. A steamboat without a star on the hub is like going to a wedding without shining your shoes.
