Hi, Judy, Jane, Keith:
I'm probably going out on a limb on this one, but I 'vaguely' recall something about the Hammond Organ on the DQ back then. Jane's right about it being "blond wood." I think Judy's right about Jesse Crawford.
Anyway, I 'heard' that Richard Simonton and his wife were close friends to the late silent movie star Harold Lloyd. I 'think' the Hammond came from Lloyd's estate in Hollywood. Now, whether Simonton's purchased the whole Lloyd home is fuzzy to me now. Lloyd did travel on the DQ back some years ago with Simontons but I never met him. Lloyd made his money in the pre income tax days of Hollywood. Hey, wasn't he the guy who wore the round owl-eyed spectacles?
