How right you are!

They did keep the original hull under the new one. I do think they removed the original bow (prow) and the stern rake. It seems to me I heard Capt Jamie Donahue mention that in conversation at some point.

Yes, it is effecient....but at what a visual cost!

They at least could correct the bow lines from round to pointed. The loss of a defining line at the bow has altered the head on look of the boat. The loss of freeboard is not nearly as bad as the hogging stern and the bulbous, "ice-breaker" bow she has now.

But, if this is what she needs to survive..we will have to live with it. I'd rather have her like this than not at all.

Again, thank you Delaware North, with out you we would not have our beloved Delta Queen!

Just thought I'd throw my name in on the "Get rid of that Bow" fan club!
