Today the Coast Guard Reauthorization Bill came on the floor for a vote. As a last ditch effort by Rep. Steve Chabot made a motion to recommit to add the amendment to the bill #2830 while it was on the floor. Unfortunately the vote was lost 195 to 208 votes against the Delta Queen exemption.
While this of course is disappointing, there are still some other options available to get the exemption. Please check by www.save-the-delta-queen.org to find out how you can help supporting the exemption now even more.
