Nemacolin - diesel stern-wheel towboat

Built 1929 by Dravo Corp. Hull: 74.2' x 16' x 4'. Length overall: 89'. Original owner: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Sold April 1954 to J.F. Handyman Co. Maysville, KY, renamed Glenda. Sold in 1970 to Charles T. Jones, Amherst Industries, Charleston, WV, renamed Laura J. After some alterations, still in service, 2008. This is probably the easiest sternwheeler to model of all the offerings in this catalog. One sheet to 1/48th scale traced from original builder's drawings shows profile and plan views plus paddlewheel details. Model size: 24.5'' long, 4.6'' beam, 6 3/4'' high.
