Floating theater, and often so called. Built like a huge box on a barge, it is provided with box office, sears, stage, scenery, and all the trimmings; usually offers legitimate stage attractions. Has no means of self-propulsion and must be pushed from town to town by a towboat. Always a steam calliope somewhere on the roof which is played to attract trade.
