General Jackson Riverboat

The General Jackson is called "the largest show boat in the world".

The four-story, 300-feet long boat is one of the main attractions of the Opryland at Nashville, Tennessee. The General Jackson was built in winter 1983 until spring 1984 at Jeffboat, Jeffersonville, IN. The boat has a calliope with 49 whistles built by Arthur Davis of Seattle, WA, which is unfortunately out of order. She´s outfitted with a diesel-electric paddlewheel as only propulsion.

The General Jackson cruises on the Cumberland River between Nashville and the Opryland. There is always dance, music and good food on board.
