Steamboat in the movie "The Yearling"
Anyone know what the sidewheel steamboat is that appears in the movie "The Yearling"? The movie starred Gregory Peck and Jane Wyman and was filmed in 1946. The setting is the Florida wilderness/Ocklawaha River area, but who knows where it was actually shot. The little steamboat looked to me like it might have been a sidewheel ferryboat, but if so, they would have built a boilerdeck over what would have been the cargo area at the bow.
