Just a friendly reminder that Sunday is the annual holiday open house at the Howard Steamboat Museum from 1:00 until 4:00 PM. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be there from 1-3 and The Big Muddy String Band will be holding forth in the music room. The gift shop will be open to sell "steamboaty stocking stuffers" and refreshments will be served. I'm playing hookey from the office tomorrow to spend a work day at the museum, doing some last minute decorating, moving some boat models and exhibits around, and taking care of some other curatorial duties.
