I wanted to ride the DQ since I was in High School (1967-1971); couldn't afford it as a graduation present (now looking back on it, I should have!), then couldn't afford it as a honeymoon (dumb decision there too!), then we finally saved up enough for a trip, we had a chance to buy a house. Took until the last years for us to go, before we couldn't. Ah, the joys of a credit card. The one trip turned into 4, and while we are STILL paying them off, I have no regrets!!
Can I afford to go again when we get her back on the rivers? VERY doubtful; we are almost on a limited retirement existence. And the prices have skyrocketed too.
