Hampton Inn Paddlewheeler

Dear dot org friends,

As fate would have it, here is the photo for the room number plaque adjacent to our room at the Hampton Inn on Wacker Place in Chicago. This Inn is located in the restored 1928 headquarters of the Chicago Automobile Assoc.

Looking at the photo and considering the size of the wheel I think this is a photo of Julia Belle Swain or Natchez.

Thoughts and comments welcome.

Wesley

It is neither the JBS nor the NATCHEZ. Wooden pitman, so that rules out NATCHEZ and AQ. I'm going with the BELLE OF LOUISVILLE, since there are six flanges.

BELLE OF LOUISVILLE...without a doubt.

It's the BELLE OF LOUISVILLE, and the photo was taken while she was in Cincinnati. It's Newport, KY. in the background.
