Default With Sympathy

I am sure that many of our steamboats.org "family" join me in extending heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Annie Blum, her husband, Capt. Jim Blum, and all their family in the passing of Annie's mother, Mrs. Felicia V. Amantea, who departed on January 11th just three days short of her 99th birthday.

Following a funeral mass this morning at the beautiful and historic Shrine of St. Joseph Church in downtown St. Louis, Mrs. Amantea will be interred at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Many of you know Annie as the author of the wonderful new book on the Streckfus excursion steamer ADMIRAL, of which she was a longtime crew member during summer vacations from her lengthy career as a teacher and counselor.
