I worked on the CQ for over 3 years and helped but her into lay up when Majestic folded. The vessel was in very good condition for a Hotel standpoint. Assuming expenses as follows:

1.5 million purchase ( maybe even $1million)
1.0 million heavy lift to Atlantic coast ( just a guess based on what I heard it cost to bring her from Louisiana.)
1.0 million renovation
1.5 million start up capital

$5 million total

divided by 61 cabins= $81,967 per key

Studies for USCG and local authorities re docking requirements, adaptations to code, etc. could add to this.

Not meant to be comprehensive, just a quick snapshot.

By comparison, a new Holiday In Express can expect costs of $60- $60 k per key.

These numbers are way too simplistic and doubtless low.

The Boatel will have no brand affiliation, "plug- in" national marketing, reservations system, etc.
