Default A new stop for the AMERICAN QUEEN

As many of you know, lock repairs at 25 have caused the AQ to begin/end her recent trips in Hannibal rather than in St. Louis. On the upbounds she has been adding stops in Burlington and Davenport due to less distance to travel. So she was here in Davenport yesterday morning and left shortly before 1 PM. About 3:30, my sternline telegraph rang with the news they were making an unscheduled stop in LeClaire Iowa. After about 3 hours, the 'tune-up' to the starboard z-drive was completed and she continued upriver. Since I was at yet another church meeting, I couldn't go up there to view this historic landing, but even my non-river friends are 'trained' to be on the lookout for river news. So thanks to a couple of them for these pictures.
The AQ pulled in just above the Buffalo Bill Museum - the red brick building partially visible in the second photo. Just downstream and connected thereto is the LONE STAR. Immediately below that is the CITY OF BATON ROUGE, the TWILIGHT's wharfboat. None of these things are in these pictures.
