Default Capt. Preston Lodwick

Mark, there are a couple of paragraphs about Capt. Lodwick in the book "The Sultana Tragedy" by Jerry O. Potter, pages 4-5. Most of this deals with his building the boat, and his earnings with her. It says, too, that he sold SULTANA to William A. Thornburg, J. Cass Mason, and Namson, Damerson & Company of St. Louis on 7 March 1864. The were the owners when she exploded above Memphis in April 1865. Not much here, but I hope it helps you.
