GORDON C. GREENE stateroom
While looking through the Cincinncati Library's photo collection I came across the following two pictures. From what I can tell this is a room in the texas which was added after the Greenes bought the boat. From the perspective of today it looks pretty darn primetive. Don't know if my wife and I would still be speaking after a 21 day New Orleans cruise in such tight confines. Was there a wall switch for the single bare lightbulb or did you have to pull that short chain every time you switched the light on or off?
In spite of the cramped quarters, passengers loved the boat and she sold out every trip while running the Upper Miss during and after WWll.
