Default Julia Belle Swain Whistle

When the JBS was in Peoria, her whistle had a very distinctive "warbble". I just watched a video of the JBS in LaCrosse. Was the whistle altered by the new owners, or did Dennis Trone change it before selling it? I remember years ago when I made a trip on the Delta Queen having Captain Ernie Wagner asked me how that worked, I didn't and still don't know. She just doesn't seem the same without it. Any comments or ideas? Thanks Mark
