Thanks to all for the photos and wealth of information! Sorry for my late response, I'm not having internet installed until this Wednesday.

My next question is for all those steam engineers out there who keep things running so smoothly: The MQ's pitmans and piston rods always seemed extravagantly long to me. Are there any inherent issues in this arrangement, as compared to engines using shorter drive elements?
