Just a friendly reminder that the celebration for the centennial of the GOLDENROD SHOWBOAT and the 48th anniversary of the St. Louis Ragtimers will be this Sunday (October 18th) from 3:00-6:00 PM at The Sheldon Ballroom, 3648 Washington Boulevard, St. Louis -- just west of Grand Avenue. Come celebrate the 100th birthday of the last of TWO surviving authentic showboats! Too bad the celebration can't be held aboard the actual boat, but from the looks of recent photos taken along the Illinois River, the ol' Goldenrod is living on borrowed time!
