Default Another Old Showboat Picture Surfaces

Just when I think I've probably seen most all of the images that exist of the GOLDENROD SHOWBOAT, up pops another one! This one, taken at Bath, Illinois on the Illlinois River shows the showboat during the early years when she was owned and operated by Capt. Ralph E. Emerson, who sold her to Capt. J.W. Menke in the mid 1920's. I can't make out the name of the towboat, but she had a variety of them, the CROWN HILL, CHAPERON, WENONAH, etc.

Wonder WHO the little girl is in the foreground? Since it's Illinois, could it be a river minded relative of Judy Patsch who is down at the landing with her three big brothers to take a gander at the big showboat?

Anyway, since 2009 marks the centennial year of the construction of the GOLDENROD at Parkersburg, WV in 1909, I thought I'd share this new acquisition.
