Default Familiar DQ "Arty-fact" sold on Ebay

While browsing the DQ items on Ebay last week I was surprised to see a very familiar artifact. It was the boat tours sign from the long ago days when the public was permitted to come aboard and tour the boat for the sum of 25 cents. Our own David J. Tschiggfrie, DQ crew member for many summers, was the artist for this sign, which he painted on board during the summer of 1978 to replace its well worn predecessor. The discarded and previous sign was in my collection for a time and now resides at the Middle Mississippi River Museum, curated by Miss Judy Patsch.

The sign fetched $184.39 on the Ebay auction!
