Several articles in The Marietta Times within the past week report that a group of Marietta investors are working to purchase the BECKY THATCHER (formerly the Corps of Engineers Str. MISSISSIPPI) and reopen her as a restaurant and theatre. The group said they are trying to act quickly before the boat was sold to another buyer and moved out of town.
