Default Info on Samuel Clements Vesuvius

I am working on a book that includes Samuel Clements who captained the Vesuvius for David Livingston (The third steamboat after the New Orleans to go up the Miss - New Orleans to Natchez and up. I know that it burned and a bout the lawsuit later on and about Andrew Jackson commandeering it for the Battle of New Orleans in War of 1812. Anyone have sources for me for further info. Clements later purchased land from Livinston above Natchez and in the area near Vidalia and died in 1833. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
