Cincinnati's Mike Fink renovations
Hi All,
Heard on the local news this morning that Cincinnati's famous Mike Fink restaurant will be towed away from her moorings in Covington to undergo some renovations soon. I did not catch a start date for this work, but the owners hope to be back in Covington for the big Riverfest fireworks show in September. For those on the board who have not had the treat of dinning on the Mike Fink you've missed out on some of the best seafood and steak on the river. The old boat has quiet a history too, having been the John W. Hubbard and Charles Dorrance during it's towing career. She even sported the whistle from the Queen City for a time. The Fink was the second dinner boat owned by the famous Capt. John Beatty and is now owned by The Bernstein Family. The TV report said that BB Riverboats diesel sternwheeler, The Belle of Cincinnati, would be the boat used to tow the Fink to wherever it is she will be refurbished. Hopefully all who visit for the next Tall Stacks will have a nicely spruced up Mike Fink restaurant to dine at!!
If anybody has any additional information on the renovations.......Capt. Bill......please fill the rest of us in on what changes might occur to the boat.
Aaron
