Default Steamboat weekend.

I had the priviledge and pleasure this weekend of visiting the Heroine archeological site on the Red River and then dropping down to Caddo Lake and meeting the Captains McMillen and the Graceful Ghost.

The Heroine is really interesting. Probably as interesting for what the boat did not have as for what was there. They update the website every so often, so check it a couple of months.

The Ghost is a wonderful little steamer, smooth, quiet, handy and in a beautiful setting. Be certain to ride her if you are anywhere near Uncertain. (Texas, that is) (I am consumed with steamboat envy!) Thanks, Lexie for anwering my questions and for pointing me to a must have book.
