Thanks Bob...here on the Ohio we don't see many boats at anchor. Did you look at David Dewey's picture of the DQ coming into the dock at San Francisco? All I can say is the pilot sure trusted the ol' gal to back well because from the look of the bow wave he's a charging into the dock. The couple of times I was on the DQ when Fred Way was the pilot, he used to charge into a lock much the same way; not at all like old Albert Kelly who would gently glide her down into the chamber.
