Hello! I'm doing some research for a historical fiction novel I'm writing. It takes place in 1835 in South Carolina. I'm including a scene in Charleston involving an actual historical event where a steamboat called the Columbia came from New York carrying abolitionist fliers. I would love a picture of that ship, if possible, or at least as many senosry details as possible - what did it look like, sound like, smell like, what did the whilstle sound like, etc. Can anyone help me out here? I'm assuming that coming from New York to Charleston, it was a sea travelling steamboat...
