GORDON C. GREENE new
Today in History March 31, 1935 the first trip of the GORDON C. GREENE. Here's a picture of what she looked like then. Basically all that was changed from the CAPE GIRARDEAU was the name. The extra texas and enclosing came a couple of years later, as we've documented in earlier threads. Picture 2 is that maiden trip underway, with C.W. Stoll aboard, near Marietta. Picture 3 was taken 7/27/35 by Capt. Bill Pollack, from the Streckfus excursion boat WASHINGTON, on which he was a Pilot. CW's notation says he and Alvin Z are on the roof...
