Another Sidewheeler Replica
The following are links to the building ao a replica of the Sidewheeler, Eric Nordevall II. I received an Email from a Steam Website in Sweden. It was in response to the same request I made to this group regarding copper boilers. If you go through the sites there are great photos and drawings of the 95' lond Eric Nordevall. ENJOY....

Hi Pete,

Great find! I just added the links to my German website about European steamboats.

Another project is going on in Switzerland: The organisation Trivapor was founded to get the sidewheeler Neuchâtel back into service. The boat is used as a floating restaurant since the mid 1960ies. Engines had been scrapped then. Trivapor bought a set of Maffei engines in 2004 which are originating from the steamer Ludwig Fessler on Lake Chiemsee near Munich. This boat was converted to diesel engines in the 1970ies. The engines first went to a museum, then were sold to the Netherlands and now are located in Switzerland. Last week Trivapor finally was able to purchase the boat. So now all they have to do it put both "parts" together. O.k. there are still 8 Million Swiss Francs missing for this renovation project. Years ago when I heard of this project the owner refused to sell the boat and it looked like a neverending story. Now they got the boat and I´m sure they will get the money too.
