This comment is addressed to Dale's message but I couldn't figure out how to put it there anyway...

All lobby firms are required to file reports with Congress on their estimated income from clients and on what issues. According to the reports filed by Blank Rome Government relations ACL paid them $50,000 in 2013, $40,000 in 2014 and $30,000 in 2015. The reports further show that the issues for 2014 & 15 were HR 1248 and S 1717 the 2 bills dealing with the DQ exemption and the 2 bills for the Coast Guard re-authorization Act. The 2013 issue was the the old exemption bills.

I tried to attach a PDF file of the 2015 report but couldn't get the system to accept it. If anyone would like to see it or the prior years send a email to me at mwashenko@ameritech.net

Here is a link to a 2013 article on ACL fighting to kill the exemptions in case anyone is interested although I think it's been posted before.

I hope this works but if it doesn't you can copy and past it into your browser.
