*Use of 'parody' with DQ*
Steamboating colleagues,
Well, Jim, your rich humor above caught me totally by surprise when I began to read. The use of literary 'parody' in writing can not only be fun but get over a very subtle message in a nonsensical manner with humor that can cut to the quick of a queston or subject. I've used it a lot in the past with mixed reviews, differing levels of appreciation. Parody also a great device used in cutting through political, social, economic questions and issues.

The gang down at Rabbit Hash have been pretty quiet of late. Usually 'Cap'n Walnut or Shipyard Sam kept us posted in the past but many of our old gang here have drifted off to post on FACEBOOK or other social media.
