    Default DQ passing by Vicksburg

From Facebook, today is Saturday April 4th.
UPDATE: The DELTA QUEEN is expected to pass Vicksburg, MS between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm CDT today! Always a favorite place to stop for the DELTA QUEEN and her passengers in the past, we look forward to returning again in the future!

    Default Passed Natchez

She passed Natchez about 7 PM. They are moving at about 11 mph. This could put them in the New Orleans harbor late Sunday night. I wonder what the wait will be for the Algiers Lock, since they are only a tow.

It might not be that much. When I was down there a couple of weeks ago, there were few waiting. Also, I'm guessing that they might just put them to the head of the line, as a single. Maybe, maybe not.

    Default DQ progress

Capt. Don Sanders reported she passed Bayou Goula about 8:30 this morning, a mere 95 miles from the NATCHEZ' wharf. It looks like the crew should be at the ready with their cameras early in the dinner cruise, hopefully in daylight. As an aside, Bayou Goula Chute is where the NATCHEZ goes during hurricanes.
