    Default Calliope Help

In 1916 Howards built an all steel, sidewheel excursion boat, PILGRIM. For some unknown reason there are no pictures of this boat in the Howard collection. The PILGRIM ran mostly out of New Albany, Ind. and therefore does not get the fame that the AMERICA enjoys here in the Louisville area.
The PILGRIM was equipped with a calliope and the picture attached shows Harry Stockdale at the keyboard. Cincinnati had Homer Denny and Louisville had Harry Stockdale.
Harry had another steamboat connection, his dad worked as a carpenter at Howards for over 50 years. The elder Stockdale's specialty was making pilotwheels......just think of all the historic wheels he built, from the ROBT. E. LEE II to the CAPE GIRARDEAU.
The question I have is what kind of calliope is this?...the whistles appear to be longer and thinner than the calliopes I'm used to seeing.
