Is there any news as to the status of the DQ extension bill in the Senate? I assume the bill is in some Senate committee somewhere. From the news articles which were put on this forum, the Ol' Gal only has until March at its present location, then the City of Chattanooga says it has to move. That's not much time.
I'm so afraid that once the boat is moved, especially if it is put into a barge fleet, the chances of it ever running again will decline daily as everything bright and shiny rapidly disappears as souvineer hunters and the just curious gain access to the unguarded boat. Also there is still cold weather in March and, without heat, the piping could be in real danger including the "nonexistent" sprinkler system.
I would say that time is of the essence.
