Hopefully, the House will act on their companion resolution soon. In the meantime will some Kentuckian call McConnell's office and see when and if S 89 will be scheduled for a vote in the full Senate.

WOW......very interesting reading. It's great the committee recommends passage by the full Senate, let's keep out fingers crossed!

I called Sen. Graham's DC office and asked if the order to be printed actually was a step forward, but sadly the answer is no. It's standard operating procedure, and it's up to Majority Leader McConnell to schedule a vote which he may or may not do. So it's still important to call your Senators to have them prod McConnell to bring S 89 to the floor.

Your right, Jim, it is real interesting reading!

Thank you Bob, but we have Senator Claire McCaskill to thank for the quick movement in the Senate. Now that it's moving along in the Senate we really need to reach out to our Representatives in the House, particularly those Representatives on the Transportation Committee. If you would like to know if your Rep is on the Committee just google US House of Representatives/Committees/Transportation. Some important ones to contact would be those in states where she travels - who should be aware of the economic value to them. They are: Eddie Bernice Johnson, Randy Weber, Brian Babin, and Blake Farenthold, Texas, Cheri Bustos, Rodney Davis, Mike Bost, and Daniel Lipinski, Illinois, Andre Carson and Todd Rokita, Indiana, Richard Nolan, Minnesota, John Duncan, Tennessee, Sam Graves, Missouri, Rick Crawford and Bruce Westerman, Arkansas, Bill Shuster (Chairman of the Committee), Lou Barletta, Scott Perry and Lloyd Smucker, Pennsylvania, Bob Gibbs, Ohio, Thomas Massie, Kentucky, Garret Graves, Louisiana. So if you live in one of these Districts or know someone that lives in the districts represented by these folks, please contact them and tell them how important it is to get House Bill #619 passed. It is OUR job to make sure they understand it's an important issue to us and one that we are watching. Thank you and as they say on facebook, Please Share!
